Giveaways Going On Right Now

Since I did not have time for the Feature for Friday here on my blog, I wanted to post something else for you (besides another giveaway question). So here it goes:
Besides the fun Mother's Day Giveaway on MY blog, here are a few others you might be interested in. Another one is mine - just on another blog! =)

This one has been going on for a little bit, but there's still time to enter. Winner gets a pair of our crystal heart earrings! Enter until May 8th.

This is one that I have entered. The giveaway is from an Etsy photography shop, and it's got some great prints in it! It's on a new blog that I found, and I'm really liking it. =)

This one is on that same blog, but a different shop. The giveaway is from Marchello Art, a new Etsy shop with really great recycled silverware items (remember those silver spoon bracelets from a feature Friday shop? Marchello Art has more ways to reinvent silver, and I love it!).

Remember that for more great giveaways, you can go to this awesome blog - it's ALL about great giveaways:

Mother's Day Giveaway Question #6

For Mother's Day Giveaway info, please CLICK HERE.

So...There won't be a feature shop this week, because I haven't had time to get to it. It's been a busy week. I apologize for that. Instead, I've got another question for the giveaway. I've really been having a great time reading all your comments, and finding out about my readers! I hope you've been having fun too! =)

Here's Question #6

What's one of your favorite things to do in the summer time?

My answer:

Well, we don't do it as often as we would like to, but I like taking family trips to the beach and picnic there. It's so much fun! It's great when it's a smaller beach too...Not so crowded. You can really relax and just enjoy the time together, play in the sand and water, build sandcastles, or just sit and listen to the waves. It's also so much fun to go exploring as a family and watch the kids find seashells and other fun stuff. It's really a great time...I hope we get to do that this year.

And now it's YOUR turn. What's one of your favorite things to do in the summer time?

Mother's Day Giveaway Question #5

For Mother's Day Giveaway info, please CLICK HERE.

Question #5

What is your favorite flower and why?

My answer:
There are so many beautiful flowers, it's
hard to choose just one. So, I'll choose a classic - the rose - any color! They are always so beautiful, classic and romantic.

But one of my favorite flowers to GROW is the canna lilly (one of the easiest plants to ever plant in my yard). Very pretty, low maintenance, and they always pop back up every year! See, I told you it was hard for me to choose just one!!! LOL

How about you? What's a favorite flower and why???

In other news, our shop is featured on a blog today! You can check it out at the link below.

Mother's Day Giveaway Question #4

For Mother's Day Giveaway info, please CLICK HERE.

Question #4

What is a nice little surprise that you've received on any random day? Or what would you consider to be a nice little surprise to give on any random day?

My answer:
One of my favorite little surprises to receive on any random day is a simple, little note. It could be a note from my husband just simply saying, "I love you." O
r, it could be a small notecard from the kids, saying, "Have a great day, Mom," with a small drawing or picture in it. These little notes of thought are sometimes the best little pick-me-up-and-smile on any given day, at any given time. The notes give me a moment of thoughtfulness to myself, and a smile - and appreciation for those small moments to cherish for always.

How about you??? Earn entries for the Mother's Day Giveaway! Leave a comment, and share a little tidbit about what makes you --- JUST B YOU. =)

Mother's Day Giveaway Question #3

For info on the Mother's Day Giveaway, please CLICK HERE.

Question #3

What is your favorite Mother's Day Dessert?

My answer:
CHOCOLATE!!! If you've been reading my blog since the beginning, you'll know that my mom used to have a candy/gift shop when I was young (if you didn't read that earlier, then there ya go!). She made her own chocolates, truffles, and so much more! So, my favorite Mother's Day Dessert would definitely have to be some kind of chocolate. YUMMY!!!

Mother's Day Giveaway Question #2

Question #2

What is something that you and your mother share or have shared?

My answer:
My mom and I think a lot alike sometimes. Maybe it's because she's such an inspiration for me. She taught me independence, creativity, positivity, and so much more. She's always been easy to talk to, and communication is so key in any relationship. So I guess I'd say that one thing we definitely share is those little moments, when we might be thinking the same thing, or have the same idea - and we look at each other just to laugh and smile. =)

Mother's Day Giveaway!!!

OK. I have a confession...I fell asleep before midnight! But, I woke up this morning, and checked the blog follower count to see that we made it to the goal of 130 followers!!! This means that along with the other two giveaways that I'm involved with right now, I'm going to do a MOTHER'S DAY GIVEAWAY on MY blog as well!

To be honest, I wasn't really sure that we'd make it to the goal...So I haven't even thought about what I would giveaway as the prize yet. Instead of taking the time to think about it, I need something to post RIGHT NOW so that this giveaway can begin.

So here it is: Winner will receive $10 credit in our shop! This is going to be a quick giveaway, because I would like to be able to ship the prize out to the winner in time for Mother's Day, if possible.

Here's how it works:

1. You have to be a follower of my blog.
2. I'll be posting Questions from now until this Sunday, May 2nd. For each comment left, you will receive one entry for the giveaway.
3. You can earn bonus entries, but you have to come back and let me know that you've done the following:
***Give our shop a heart! - 1 entry
***Give an item a heart and tell why. - 1 entry for each item hearted

The Mother's Day Giveaway ends Sunday, May2nd. I will be posting the winner on Monday, May 3rd at about 12:00 noon (Pacific Time) or a little earlier. Winner needs to contact me by email within 24 hours with choice of item/items totaling $10 (if the amount goes over $10, then I will make a special listing for the difference). Shipping will be free. Giveaway is open to all U.S. residents. International followers may enter too, but please keep in mind your prize might not arrive so quickly. =)

What's one great way you celebrate your mother?

MY answer: I love to just call my mom to say hi and let her know that I care. So many times life just gets busy. As I've said before, sometimes it can be the smallest things that matter the most. A simple phone call to keep in touch can make all the difference. Even if it's just me leaving her a message, because I know she'll get it. =)

Some New Additions

We've got some new additions in our shop! A new pair of earrings for the justBpretty section, and a new mood necklace. How do you like the photos? We also re-took some pictures for the paper bead necklace and added them. We've still got lots of work to do, but we're getting there. Slowly, but surely!

Our eco-friendly selection has to wait to be expanded on our Etsy site. Lots of our items were sold (just not on Etsy) before we could even get pictures taken. So, in a way, this is good news. =) We'll be hard at work putting together more pieces for our online shop. It just takes time, and sometimes we seem to be short on that.

As far as fundraising goes, we ordered some little buttons for our daughter to sell. They're pretty cute. We got them from (also the owner of the blog By Hand Giveaways). We're going to start selling those tomorrow and see how it goes. For anyone that makes a donation, we'll be giving a button - or people can buy a button for $0.50 too. Either way, she's learning the value of earning the money, which I think is important.

You can check out our progress on the left hand sidebar. We've raised another $70 this week! We're that much closer to reaching our goal...

I also see that we're SO close to the goal of 130 follower! We have until midnight tonight (pacific time). If we don't make it to the 130, then I'm still a part of two giveaways going on (don't forget). But I had a lot of fun with my first giveaway! It was great to ask and answer questions, and to hear from followers! That was the best part! So hopefully we'll get to do that again soon. =)

New Photos with New Lighting

Well, I purchased a daylight lamp in hopes of helping in our effort to take brighter photos. We pulled it out of its box the other day, but we only had time to take a few pictures. Let me show you a before and after picture, and we'll look at the differences.

One thing - we have different colored backgrounds f
or both of the pictures. I think we'll have to go back and try the same backgrounds so we can REALLY compare.

In the "before" picture, the background is white. Although, because of the lighting, it looks more like a grayish color. With the daylight lamp, we used a black background. I really want us to try the white background with the new lamp and see how it works. I feel like the "before" picture shows the detail of the beads better, but the "after" picture does show up brighter. Maybe it's just how the focus of the "after" picture, though. Pictures are so tough!!! We'll keep trying...

Which picture do you think turned out better? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

Feature for Friday 4/23/10

I'll be busy all day tomorrow, so I wanted to get this post up tonight. And tonight I present.....Little Must Have! It's a great shop, with many must haves in it! This shop has unique and pretty items of crochet and a range of vintage heirloom offerings. Wait till you see...Keep reading!
Meet Little Must Have owner, Sonya. She says,
"My name is Sonya and I live in the Wonderful Barossa Valley in Adelaide, South Australia. I am a stay at home mother of 2 and spend most of my free time top to toe in craft.
A big Hello from 'Down Under' to you..."
I found GREAT items in her Etsy shop! So I hope you'll be loving what you see and stop by her shop to have a look around for yourself, because there's so much more there than what I can fit here. =)

First, I'll be showing you one of my favorite finds
from Sonya's shop. It was my first time ever seeing a bracelet of its kind. Since seeing Sonya's beautiful spoon bracelets, I saw one other bracelet from another Etsian - but it wasn't nearly as pretty (it was still pretty, but much more plain, as it didn't have anything dangling from it, and I like a little dangle...It gives the piece a little personality and style).

Sonya's work with Little Must Have is just breathtakingly unique and one of a kind, as she adds a special touch to her pieces to make them even more original. Just look at these spoon bracelets...Please CLICK HERE to view her entire line of lovely spoon bracelets. Prices are so very affordable, starting at just $15!!! Don't forget that Mother's Day is quickly approaching. Do you still need to get a gift???

Next up, a piece of her crochet work. Becoming more popular these days is something called crochet jewelry. Little Must Have can be just the place for some really pretty crochet pieces! This is one of my favorites from her line. It's a pair of earrings that were inspired by Lilly Scott from American Idol. How cool is that? I like the colors, and how the earrings are a bit wavy. So fun! Priced just right at only $10.
Need more info? Please CLICK HERE. Don't you just love those colors? Sonya has some other great crochet earrings in her shop that are lighter, brighter and perfect for springtime too. Be sure to check them all out!

Did you love those
Reinvented Silver Spoon Bracelets from above? Well, Little Must Have gives old silver spoons ANOTHER use with its line of Silver Bookmarks! Sonya's got a brand new section for these darling bookmarks. It's just another great use for an old silver spoon! As if the bracelets weren't enough, now there is one more reason to stop by her shop and see her offerings of reinvented silver! Please CLICK HERE, and you'll see the complete item description. Prices for these beautiful silver bookmarks start at just $9. A bookmark makes a great gift, especially when it's as unique and different as this!

Some fun facts about Little Must Have owner, Sonya:

* She's from South Australia!
* She's a stay-at-home-mom! =)
* She started getting crafty with crocheting, then her talents and creativity just grew from there.
* Her passions are sewing, crocheting, and jewelry (in her free time).
* She has ANOTHER Etsy shop, but she's closing it down (so Little Must Have can steal the spotlight).

Here's where you can find (and follow) her:

Remember, Little Must Have has more great items waiting to be seen by you (think heirloom, charm bracelets, and crochet rings). Click the link below to visit Sonya's shop!

And if you'd like to have a look around her second shop (carrying some cute undergarments and comfy night shirts) before it closes its "doors" for good, please take a look at this shop - A Little Cheeky Panties. Since it's closing down in less than one week, there is a big "CLOSING UP SHOP" sale going on. ***By the way, there are some eco-friendly recycled/upcycled items --- great way to celebrate Earth Day --- and only ONE more crochet cuff left!
This JUST IN, so I'm VERY glad I didn't post until now....Sonya has decided to keep her second shop, A Little Cheeky Panties!!! Let me show you a preview of what you'll find in this shop. I thought these handmade panties were cute and fun, and a perfect pair to show you all! So if anyone out there is planning on attending a bachelorette party for those spring weddings that always pop up...Hhhmmm...Cute panties, right?!?!
You can check out her second shop RIGHT HERE, or simply click the link below. Since she's keeping the shop open, there is no "closing up shop" sale. Instead, there's a nice clearance sale! So you can check that out, and enjoy great discounted prices (we're talking only $5 for these cute little pink camo panties!).

That's it for this week's feature. I hope you've enjoyed, and I do hope you'll visit Sonya and her two Little shops offering a great, BIG selection of items for your shopping needs and wants (all your must haves). There is so much to see!

Other things to remember:
Some cool giveaways that justByou is taking part in....

Happy Earth Day!

Celebrate the earth! Do what you can to help protect our planet. Here are some ways you can be earth-friendly:

1. Recycle! Recycle! Recycle! SO many things are recyclable. You just have to take the initiative to DO IT! You can actually have a garbage bin more full of recyclable products
than with waste (really, it's true!)!
2. Reduce! You can reduce the amount of water and electricity you use in your home. Simply turn off the water when brushing your teeth, or take a less lengthy shower. Turn the lights off when they're not in use. Conserve! Conserve every chance you get. Sounds easy - and it is!
3. Re-us
e! Recycle things by re-using them. Re-use those plastic shopping bags, for example.

These three things are just reminders of what we really already know. We've been hearing "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" (the three Rs) for way over a decade...We still need to hear it now. It's important!

My family recycles as much as we can, so much that our recycle bin is always overflowing. Now, we're also coming up with fun ways to reuse things too. We just launched our new section in our
shop. It's called "justBgreen Eco-Friendly," which will carry eco-friendly items and items that are made with being green in mind. So far, we only have one listing in there, but it's about to be expanded, so be on the lookout! Our first item in the new section --- a paper bead unisex necklace. Check it out! CLICK HERE.

We really try to be eco-friendly, but I know there's a lot more we could do too. By remembering the three Rs, at least we try to do our part and help as much as we can. =)

What are some ways that you try to be green? Leave a comment and share!!!

International Shipping

So did I mention that I sent my first package for international shipping overseas? And I shipped it quite awhile ago, or so it seems. I'm wondering - How long does it take to go from California, USA to Singapore with mail? The winner of my first ever giveaway, as you might remember, was Crafty Pixels owner, Lucile. She is from Singapore. So I had the first package to travel overseas. To date, I've only had one other international order, and it was to Canada (and I had no problems with that). That order was received pretty quickly too. But I don't think Lucile has received her package yet. Hhhmmm...

I'm thinking about going to the Etsy forums to ask about this international shipping stuff. I don't think she's received it just yet (but maybe it's too soon), and now I'm wondering about things like insurance for the package and all that. I've heard people in the forums talk about "marking as a gift" for international orders, but I haven't seen any threads about lost packages, or length of time, or anything like that.

I'm trying to remember how long it takes regular mail to arrive internationally. I remember sending a postcard from Thailand to the U.S. when I took a trip there (a long time ago). I think I got back home a few days before the postcard arrived (and my trip was about a month long). So, if a postcard takes that long to get here from Asia, maybe a package (no matter how big or small) would take just as long...I wonder if the package would get there quicker if I had chosen a different method of shipping (like priority, instead of first class)? Probably. I guess these are things that I'm going to have to ask the post office. Or maybe my fellow Etsians can help me out in the forums as well.

If you're an Etsy shop owner, and you have some experience with international shipping, maybe you have some pointers for me? Feel free to leave me comments! I read comments, even if I don't always comment back (but I'm starting to do that now). I LOVE COMMENTS!!!

Fundraising Goal for Scholarship Fund

On the left hand sidebar, I've posted the stats for our fundraising goal. I mentioned this goal before on my blog post from last Wednesday, April 14th. Here it is again, for any of you that missed it.

All of our sales (excluding sales from our justB 4 a cause section) from now until June 1st will be going towards a scholarship fund for our daughter. She has the opportunity to participate in a great program through a California State University, allowing her to attend summer school classes at the college campus, while earning high school credits (she's in middle school right now). Classes are much like college classes, but geared for 6th-9th graders who excel in academics.

Unfortunately, the classes are so much like college courses that the fees are similar as well. We have a month and a half to raise about $1000 to go towards tuition costs, and we're determined to make it to the goal. She has applied for two scholarships, but we don't know how much she will be awarded yet. We have set our goal high, and anything that we make over the goal will go towards her courses for next summer.

As of yesterday, we've made it to $100 to go towards her scholarship fund! I'm so excited. If she gets all the classes she's chosen, she'll be earning 14 high school credits! I will post our progress weekly, on the sidebar to the left, so that you can keep checking back to see how we're doing.

A Day Too Late

Well, we made the goal of 111 followers for my blog, but we made it a day too late! So, unfortunately, I won't be able to do the Mother's Day Giveaway. =(

BUT...There's a chance for all my followers to win a giveaway that I'm still a part of. Check out the two links listed below. I'm giving away an item on each of the sites, so you can still win (even if it's not on my blog).

This one is called The April Showers Bring May Flowers Expectacular Mega Giveaway. It's a HUGE giveaway with 45 shops participating!!! My shop is listed as #37!!! Check it out...You could win your choice of any item from our justB 4 a cause section (and we'll still donate to the charity)!

This next one is a giveaway, and the blogger did a feature on our shop too. You have a chance to win a pair of Swarovski Crystal Heart earrings. Check it out. You might be the winner!

I'm so glad that we made it to 111 followers! Since we did hit the goal (even if it's a day late), I'm still thinking of a way to congratulate us. Any ideas??? Leave a comment with YOUR idea!

Feature for Friday 4/16/10

Oh wow. This feature is gonna be a fun one! I'm presenting to you a very fun Etsy shop...Especially 4 U by E and T. And I might be posting this one a little early, just because I want to be sure that it's up and ready for you all on Friday morning (sometimes being on CA Pacific time makes me feel always late compared to the rest of the world...). I'm just going to dive in now!

The shop's announcement asks: "Looking for adorable hand poured soaps made with scents like lavender, vanilla, and coconut?" Then says, "We make all sorts of soaps and can customize especially 4 U." The scents alone sound pretty common among bath and beauty products...But wait till you see what they mean by ADORABLE...

Here's the first find...ADORABLE Gummi Bears soap. Yep, SOAP, not the candy...Don't take a bite! I'm afraid to buy these, because I think my kids would try to eat them...Actually, I KNOW they'd try to eat them! LOL. They're so cute and fun. Scented like lemon, strawberry, orange, and lime these are sure to be a hit. Kids will love 'em and adults will too. They look just like the real thing, but they're soaps. Grab yourself a set of Gummi Bear Soap - Only $4!!! Want more info? Please click HERE.

Another fun soap that looks good enough to eat --- Yummy Yummy Chocolate Doughnuts with Strawberry Icing SOAP. Every time I look at the picture, I have to re-read the SOAP part. I can't believe it's soap! I want to take a bite out of one. How about you? Chocolate and strawberry scented, this soap is sure to be a favorite (just remember not to take a bite!). When purchased, they come in a little mini bakers box - how perfect is that? Indulge yourself - without the calories! For just $7.75 you can get a chocolate/strawberry fix for the bath. Please click HERE for more info and the complete item description.

Next up, another soapy sweet treat...Black Cherry Cupcake with Warm Vanilla Sugar Frosting and Candy Sprinkles! It's not a real cupcake, bu
t it's real candy sprinkles on top give it just the right touch. Can you imagine giving these out for party favors? Instead of real cupcakes, party go-ers can take home a cupcake they can enjoy that keeps their skin soft and silky. While it looks good enough to eat, it's a mouthwatering scented soap that's gentle on the skin! Click HERE for more info.

Last but not least, a more traditional-type soap. Elizabeth of Especially 4 U by E and T says (about this soap):

"There are honey almond soaps suspended inside the Bergamot and tangerine soap for special nourishment for your skin. There is real honey on the top of these pieces of soap and it is made with a Shea Butter base. There are not any harsh detergents to dry out your skin or remove your skins healthy oils. Your skin will love it!" I'm lovin' it just lookin' at it! How about you? Want to see more? Click HERE.Some fun facts about Elizabeth:
*** She's a stay-at-home mom. =)
*** She started out by making wreaths, and her creativity expanded from there.
*** She has sensitive skin, which prompted her to research natural bath and beauty products - and now she's hooked (so glad you are!).
*** She's from Indiana, USA.

You can follow Elizabeth here:

Some other great finds from Especially 4 U by E and T...
* Bubble Bath
* Body Scrubs
* Goat's Milk Soap
* Body Lotion
* Personalized items (tote bags, wine glasses, initial soaps, and more)
And there's sooooo much more! You have to stop by the shop and see for yourself!
Visit - you'll love it!

Hope you like today's feature. I know that I love browsing the shop, and I can't wait to try some of these completely adorable soaps! Plus, there are more great items in the shop. Elizabeth is a multi-talented mama!!! I, for one, am actually curious to see a wreath...Maybe she'll blog about it (*hint-hint*)!

Thank you all for reading. I've got the best followers!!! =)
Please read my blog post from yesterday to read an important news flash about all sales from our shop from now until June 1st (money will be going towards my daughter's scholarship fund for a summer school program).
And stay tuned next week for our launch of a new section in the shop!!!

Just Listed...

More mood jewelry...Since it's so popular! We added another cuff bracelet (still with the sale pricing) without the glow-in-the-dark star in the center. It's simple and classic, and so much fun to wear!

We also added the Crystal Star Mood Necklace that I blogged about last week.

We're still working on some new pieces for our new section, soon to be unveiled!

AND...This just in ----- NEWS FLASH!!!!
So check out our shop! Buy something in support of education! =)

Rainy Days

The weather has been full of rainy days since Friday! =( So I guess it really is April showers right now. Hopefully that means some really pretty May flowers, because the showers have been more like winter storms in the area. Even the winds came...Not fun.

With the change of weather going from sunny (and almost real spring temperatures) back to rainy, we've got some coughs, runny noses, and even a fever in our house. So my work week might be interrupted just a bit.

We went to the Lao New Year Festival on Saturday, but we forgot to bring the camera, so I don't have any pictures to post for you. Sadly, the turnout of the event wasn't as big as I heard it was last year. The weather probably played a big part in that, because it rained in the morning. We went there to help with a booth, so we worked the whole day. There were performances, but we didn't get to watch them. I'll try to find some pictures somewhere so that I can post something for you all to see. In the meantime, I'll give you a link of a short commercial for it.

Watch the video and let me know what you think! It was my first time ever going to a Lao New Year. Maybe I'll go again next year. =) Learning about cultures is so much fun.

OH - I also want to mention...We've been featured on a blog, and there's a giveaway involved. Check it out at this link:

Feature Friday 4/9/10

For today's feature shop, I thought I would go ahead and present to you all the winner of my first ever giveaway - Crafty Pixels. Crafty Pixels is on Etsy and specializes in graphic design for Etsy shop owners. Lucile says she can complete a business package for Etsians, including, "banners and avatars, business card and sticker designs, Twitter backgrounds, blog headers and buttons, etc." Her graphics are fun, bright and unique. Her shop offers premade designs, and she will also do custom (of course!). I know that I, for one, am NOT good at graphic design. So her services are great, and something that I'm truly considering. And the greatest part is...Her prices are extremely competitive - very affordable!
So here are some examples of her work...

This is a listing from her shop for a premade Etsy shop graphic set, incluing 3 banners, 3 avatars, 3 placeholders (for reserved listings, appreciation photos), and a business card design. Brilliant spring colors, and priced at just $15!!! Want to see the listing? Click HERE.

She also offers a complete website makeover. She will add/remove content and photos from/to your server for you. If you are not so computer savvy so as to do it yourself, or if you just don't have the time to do it, you can let Crafty Pixels take care of it for you! Her price starts at just $25 and includes UNLIMITED revisions. Check this listing out by clicking right HERE.

And here's another great find from her shop. She will make custom avatars for your Etsy shop, for you to use for custom/reserved listings, and a "thank you" avatar that you can use when you give feedback and need an appreciation photo. These are usually included in the Etsy shop graphic set that is shown above, but I am sure that if you just want the custom avatars, she will work with you to create a custom listing for you. I got these little avatars from her listing for a
graphic set called "Mushroom Hills." I like the bright colors and simplicity - and - it reminds me of the Nintendo game (one of my all-time faves) Super Mario Bros.! =) If you would like to look at this listing, please click HERE.

I'm also going to be participating in a few other giveaways/features this month.

First up:
It's a huge giveaway called --- The April Showers, Bring May Flowers EXPECTACULAR MEGA GIVEAWAY. It starts on April 9th and ends on April 30th. Forty-five shops participate in this giveaway. Yep, 45 shops!!! Our shop is one of them. We'll be giving away the winner's choice of any item from our "justB 4 a cause" section. Check it out and enter at

An item from our shop will be featured this Sunday on a blog!
I hope you'll visit Missy's blog for Luvy Duvy and check it out. =)
Here's her blog link:

I'm working with a couple of people who want to do a feature of our shop! I'm excited. *smiles* More info on that later, though.

With all this promoting going on, we'll be super-busy these next few weeks. We're trying really hard to have some cool new items in our shop by the end of the month. No hints for that right now, though. You'll just have to stay tuned...

More Mood Jewelry

Our mood jewelry is selling like crazy, flying off the shelves! OK...I don't have shelves full, but I've got a table in my workspace...Does that count?

We started our justBmoody line, because I have always like mood rings and mood jewelry. I had a mood necklace way back when --- found it in a box and told the family it would be fun to make some mood jewelry.

We started with the cuff bracelet, and our daughter wore it to school. BOOM! We got orders for it right away. So we've been making necklaces and bracelets...People seem to like them, and that makes us smile. Smiles are good. Orders are good. Now if we could just take better pictures for our web shop (that's a little more tough)...And then get some orders from our site.

At the end of last week I did my first custom order from our Etsy shop jewelry line, though. So much fun! It was great. The lady was so awesome to work with. She had a vision of what she wanted to fit her style, and I'm hoping she receives her order soon and loves it. This is what the finished pieces looked like. ------------------------------------>>>>>

And our pieces with the Austrian crystals and mood beads are doing well too. Here's a new one, soon to be in our shop. We're just trying to get some better photos of it. Yep, we're still battling the photos...And switching up the backgrounds to see what does better, black or white. Sometimes it's black, other times it's the white. **sigh**

Mood Jewelry --- So fun, and now quickly becoming our most popular sellers. All because I went through an old dresser drawer and found my old necklace. Pretty cool!

I'm really hoping that I get to do that possible Mother's Day Giveaway that I mentioned yesterday. Help me get 111 followers! =)

Possible Mother's Day Giveaway

So I've decided that my second giveaway will be for Mother's Day. It will begin once I get 111 followers. That means if I don't get 111 followers by the 16th of this month, then the giveaway won't be able to happen. So...come on everybody, help me get 111 followers! =)

When we hit the goal of 111 followers for this blog, then on April 16th, I will post the Mother's Day Giveaway entry guidelines.

Right now the number of followers is at 93 - that's only 18 away from the goal! I know we can do it - together. Spread the word...It's gonna be fun.

An Etsy Mini...

So I participated in a fun giveaway...And I won!!! The winning prize? An Etsy Mini of our shop, posted on a popular blog for two weeks! Woohoo! I still can't believe that I won. I never win anything! So this is very exciting for me (even if there were 10 winners total). =)

Wanna check it out?

It's a really great blog, owned by a fellow Etsian. I had been following another one of her blogs, and then I came across this one a couple of weeks ago, where the author posted my first giveaway (how cool is that?). The By Hand Giveaways blog is so great - it lists a ton of great giveaways, all in one place! I love it. Plus, now my little Etsy mini is posted there too. Awesome. ;)

Super Saturday DOUBLE Feature

I had problems with blogger yesterday. It was so frustrating. I started this post, and then it wouldn't save or publish. Anyone else have the same issues? I had to delete the whole thing, and start over, and then it still wouldn't post. I gave up yesterday. So, now this is my third time trying. I hope it works.

Well, since I missed last week's feature shop, and yesterday went not at all as planned with my blog post, I'm really glad that I have a treat for you all. It's a double dose of greatness, because I recently found out that one of my followers has not one, but TWO Etsy shops. I had no idea! So, I decided to feature both of Nancy's shops for this week's feature shop slot.

I found Nancy through the Team Hearts and Hands United (HHU) weekly thread in the forums. I often visit their "Making New Friends on Etsy" thread, because they are wonderful, talented people full of positivity (and so very friendly). For the few weeks that I've been visiting there, I never knew that these two shops (two avatars that I've seen quite a bit) were owned by the same person! So funny...I just thought the name Nancy was pretty common.

Anyway, Nancy's first shop is all about bags and so much more. Nancy's Bags Etc has more than just pretty handmade bags. In her own words, "Handmade purses, yoga tote bags, and organizers are a few of the items you will find in my shop. They are colorful, stylish, chic and sturdy." Nancy has been sewing for many years and is VERY skilled at her trade.

Here's the first find from her shop. It's a fun, bright business card/credit card holder. Such a cute and stylish way to carry all your cards! Priced just right at only $10. Need more info? Want to see more views? Click HERE!!!

Next up, a very versatile apron - with a nice floral print. With so many uses, you're sure to get your money's
worth. You can use it as a vendor's apron to stash your cash, calculator and other necessities (like the picture shown)...Or, you can use it for your crafting tools, gardening tools, whatever you want. Only $22 - what a steal!!! Click HERE to grab it, or heart it.

Nancy's second shop carries items that are made with the same skill and expertise - but not with sewing. She designs stained glass art!!! I must warn you...Some of the pieces in her shop are absolutely GORGEOUS. You've GOT to check it out for yourself. Designs Stained Glass has many pieces that vary in price range. There really is something that will fit just about any budget. I'm going to show you a couple of my favorite pieces.
What would spring be
without dragonflies? Well, this simple dragonfly suncatcher is perfectly small and perfect for springtime. It would look great in any window. And I can certainly see this hanging next to the crystal suncatchers hanging in my window...It would be the perfect addition to my collection - or any collection! Can you picture it in your window? It's only $22. Please click HERE for more info.

This is another must-have for spring. The Stained Glass Pansy Panel Suncatcher is colorful and oh-so-pretty. Can't you just imagine it in a window of your home, with the brilliant colors just glowing with the sunshine...You have to go to the item listing to see the other views (I only have room for one). Please click HERE. You will like what you see!

Some fun facts about Nancy:
***She lives in Rhode Island.
***She started quilting over 20 years ago.
***Everything in her two shops are ready to be shipped.
***She's a member of two Etsy teams: HHU and CAC.

I hope you enjoyed this week's feature shop(s). Sorry that I had to post on Saturday instead of Friday. I hope getting a double feature made it worth it. =)

Be sure to check out Nancy's shops:
Two great shops from one great lady. Keep up the good work, Nancy.
