In 15 Minutes...

What can you do in 15 minutes? I can get a lot done in 15 minutes...Dishes, folding laundry, and the list goes on and on. And after watching GMA this morning, I realized there's one more thing I could get done in 15 minutes. There was a new study done that shows just 15 minutes a day of exercising can increase your life span. That's even better than the 30 minutes a day I thought it was!

Super cute bear image found on zazzle.com. Click here to go there! It's a photo sculpture. :)

Watch this video clip from ABC News:

This is a motivator for me for sure! In 15 minutes...You could take the dog for a quick walk around the block. You could do sit ups during every commercial while you watch an hour of TV. In fifteen minutes...Easy peasy! My goal is still the 30 minutes a day, but hey - 15 minutes - we can all squeeze that in some where during the day, right? So let's do it! =)

Fifteen minutes isn't that long. Too bad we can't jog in place while washing the dishes!

I remember years ago, they said just sit at your desk with your legs crossed and swing your foot. It slowly burns calories.

Have a great day!

Absolute must! I wake up half an hour early daily to get a 25 minute workout in. It starts the day off on such a great note :)

I try to do 20 mins - just nicely in between the recommended times discussed here! Our village has several different walking routes that I can do (if I walk really fast) in 20-25 mins. I arrive back looking like a turkey cock, but once I've got my breath back I do feel better. Doesn't result in much of a weight loss though! Try to do it at least 3-4 days a week (don't think it's too bad an effort for someone 70+)!!

I always make time for 1/2 walk each nite either before dinner or after, not only is it good exercise it gives me a chance to have a break and relax for a bit!!

It's nice to know that 15 minutes will increase my life span. I wish you could lose weight by doing just 15 minutes, I guess I'm going to have to keep doing my 50 minute workout.

This is just great! It reminds me of how sad my life cycle that I spent my morning coffee in 15 minutes. Well, the idea Christie gave about swinging crossed foot looks great for my tomorrow morning coffee time!

I am always amazed how much better I feel once I actually do 15 to 30 minutes of exercise. Thanks for the reminder.

I seen that same report on GMA and it made me feel guilty. I have been on a diet for about 2months and haven't exercise. It takes all my energy and focus for a diet, I just can't seem to do both. I have 6lb to go, so it shouldn't be much longer before I start back. I usually do 30-40 mins, but 15 mins is very encouraging.
