A Pumpkin Festival

Earlier this month, our family went to a Pumpkin Festival for the first time! Admission was free (that's always nice!), and it was a great way to spend the day. We saw lots of Giant Pumpkins and the theme was all about Pirates - and they boys LOVED that fact (I guess they have a new theme each year, and we picked the perfect year to come for the first time).

They had a contest to see which pumpkins weighed the most, but we didn't get to see the winner. There were so many vendor booths
for us to check out, and lots of bounce house structures for the kids. They also had carnival games in support of community organizations and schools, and a scarecrow contest (we voted)! There was a petting zoo, pony rides...It was a day full of FUN!!! Here are some pictures of the event:

Some of the Giant Pumpkins

A blow-up slide...Pirate style, with the kracken and all!

Some of the scarecrow contest entries...

Do you have a Pumpkin Festival in your area? I know we're going to go next year again for sure! =)
