NYLF Nomination

So back on an older post, I mentioned that our family is fundraising for our oldest daughter to attend a very prestigious summer program called the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) on Medicine that she was nominated for at the end of 2011.  You can learn more about the program HERE.

In November, she received a letter from Dr. Connie Mariano, the White House Doctor from 1992-2001.  How exciting is that???  The letter explained the program and its benefits.  Following that letter, a formal invitation and information on scholarship opportunities.  The total cost of the program is about $3,000.  My daughter is, of course, applying for the scholarship.  We will not know the scholarship recipients until the end of May.  So...In the meantime, we are fundraising like mad in an attempt to raise the funds needed for her to attend!

In thinking of more and more raise for her to raise money, she came up with the idea to create QR Codes for Etsy shop owners or for blog owners.  We just put up the first listing for a custom code in our Etsy shop.

Her first QR code for another shop can be seen here.  Go ahead, scan it and see where it takes you!   =)

A QR code can be scanned with smart phones.  Once scanned, it will take people to your website!

For today's Celebration Giveaway entry opportunity, all you need to do is leave a comment, letting us know what you think of the QR Code listing.  Would you purchase one for your Etsy shop or blog???  Thanks for your feedback!  We appreciate it.

Remember, you must enter the giveaway with the mandatory entry, located on our original Celebration Giveaway Post. Giveaway ends at midnight PST on March 1st.

Congratulations and much success to your daughter!

Oh my, I had to look up what a QR Code does. I'm so behind because of my decision not to get a smart phone. So thank you for keeping me abreast!
