Goodbye Teams

I haven't been online so much these past few months.  We've had lots of family stuff going on with lots to do, and I just haven't had much time for Internet or Etsy.  I was a member of over 65 Etsy teams at one point.  And I realized that I really need to downsize teams, because I don't visit all those teams daily or even weekly.

So far, I've left over 10 teams.  And some of them were a little hard for me to say goodbye to, even if I wasn't an active member.  But it's something I have to do, definitely.  I've still got more teams to go through and decide which ones I'll keep and which I'll be leaving.  =(  Maybe if/when I have more time, I'll rejoin some of them - but for now, I've got to say goodbye to some Etsy teams...

If you're an Etsy member, how many teams are you on?  Do you find it difficult to visit them all?

I'm on 21 etsy teams and yes, I find it difficult to even visit a few. Sadly I'm considering saying goodbye to a few teams as well, especially ones that require promotion each week because I cannot find the time to do it all. It's hard, but priorities come first. I feel for you, I really do. I hate saying goodbye.

I recently left some teams as well, it hard to leave, but bottom line we are all here to build our business and we have to focus on what is best for us all.

I am in 20 teams and that is too much - I visit 5 almost everyday. You will stay in Blogging Buddies won't you? - I think you are the leader of that one right?

That's amazing! Over 65 teams...that is a lot.

I'm in 15 teams and I only visit 5-6 every week. I can't figure out how some people do all this social media networking and still produce artwork. It's a gift I do not have and I don't think I will ever achieve.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it hard to visit so many teams each week.
I'm trying to get down to about 20 teams (or less). And, of course, I'll be staying with Blogging Buddies, as well as my other blog teams, like EBT. =)

Finding the balance between networking on teams, managing your business, participating in social media and actually creating is difficult. I've had to scale down my participation too.

When I've left teams in the past, I tried to remember that if I get more time (HA!) I can always rejoin. :)

Hi
I am an active member on Etsy and I have been in many teams so far. Lately I am busy with moving and I had to lead most teams. It's hard and I hope that it will be better after all the moving madness is gone :)
I am glad to have discovered your blog :)

How do you manage to be in so many teams?! I am in 20 now after I left a few and am still thinking about leaving a few more. I am just spending too much time there that I'd rather spend taking photos.

I'm on 59 teams. Some I have no idea why I'm on because I have never used them or they are almost completely inactive. Maybe I should follow your lead and start cleaning "house".

I downsized my teams just a couple months ago. Stopped doing Facebook for my business page and other computer time sucking activities. I'm much happier now and the world has not fallen apart because I'm not spending hours on the computer socializing....who knew there was so much time in a day to do more fun things!
