A Turkey Basket

At a yard sale in our neighborhood recently, hubby found this little turkey basket.  Great find!  My boys tied some yellow & orange curly ribbon around the neck (and I just now realized that one of the loops is around the turkey's beak - silly kids!).

My favorite part of this basket is the tail, of course!

Gotta love yard sales and the treasures you can find at them!  I don't know what we'll do with the basket yet, but it's sure to be part of our holiday decor.
What do you think we should use this cute basket for?

Garage sales are awesome! I would fill it with things that represent fall and thanksgiving. Pinecones, nuts, apples, corn, leaves, wheat stalks (or something that looks like it :) Kind of like the horn of plenty.

Aw what a great basket for fall! Maybe have the kids go on a hunt around the neighborhood and fill it up with pine cones, acorns, etc. or use it for thanksgiving for rolls? So many possibilities!

what a cute basket...is it big enough for dinner rolls? I found 2 little white duck baskets last month, and I still don't know what to do with them.

Fabulous basket (his beak ribbon looks cute too)!! I think Debbi had a great idea to use it for dinner rolls -- perhaps with a pretty Thanksgiving cloth. Ornamental dried corn and such would be pretty too!
