Friday Feature & GIVEAWAY: October Native

What better way to start the beautiful month of October than with a feature and GIVEAWAY from a shop that has the name of the month as part of its name?  Today I introduce to you...

Yes, that's right, today you're meeting Rebecca, owner of October Native on Etsy, where she sells vintage items and handmade jewelry (of vintage goodies), plus lots of other great finds.  Check out the Printers Draw Chalkboard Calendar below:

And then there's this beauty GadAbout Cosmetic Box.  I love the aged look and color!

Here's what Rebecca has to say about herself:
"I love all things old, rusty and cracked they are pretty and unique. When I find something to sell I like it to be able to stand alone and be beautiful. When I create something I like it to be challenging. I was the kid who would wake up on a Saturday morning and cut up all my clothes to make a purse or art piece. My mom would get so mad, but who could blame her. I thought it was a win win I made something cool and I got to go clothes shopping often. I am still upcycling my clothes and anything else I can get my hands on-- it's fun. I hope you like what I have compiled in my store."

All of the items in her shop are timeless beauties.  I love vintage finds!  Don't you?

When asked what she loves most about vintage items, this was her reply:
"Ever since I was a kid I have enjoyed going to antique shops and picking up the old books and looking for scribbles or notes that someone from the past had written. I love history and the untold stories. The people who scribbled in those books were not famous or probably even well known but yet their little jots have made it through time to be read by me. It is a weird thought that things that I write now may mean nothing now but years from now could have an impact on someone. So to answer you question; I love the timelessness that vintage Items seem to hold and the beauty of how they have aged, the crackles, yellowed or brown edges, and rust, you know the things that give Vintage items their marks of character."

As a special treat, Rebecca is giving away one of her handmade Vintage Button Rings!  Lucky readers!!!  Click on the picture for more details of the ring.  Use the Rafflecopter form below to enter!  It's open internationally, which is awesome, because October Native doesn't ship internationally yet (so this is a REAL treat!).  Much luck to you!
