Fireworks

In my #WeekBackup post on Saturday I shared the my "trouble of the week" was getting shots of the fireworks.  I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to photography!  I used the "fireworks" setting on the camera, but I think they could have come out much better if I would've taken manual shots.  I'll keep playing with the camera and maybe by next year, I'll be able to get some better pictures.  These are good for this year, though.  Not the worst.

These are shots from the fireworks from the park.
Definitely needs improvement!

I also took a couple of short videos.  Have any of you ever tried getting some still shots from videos?  I haven't ever done that, but I'm thinking there's a first time for everything, right?  Any tips and suggestions are highly appreciated!  =0)

After watching the fireworks display at the park (first time we've done this in YEARS!), we went home and checked out our small stash.  Yep, we've got the Sparklers included (Morning Glory).

Here are a couple of photos from the fireworks we set off at home.

One of my all-time faves, Purple Rain.

This one was a newbie for us, and it was cool.  It's called En Fuego.  Lots of color!

To check out more of my attempt at capturing the fireworks this year, you can check out my flickr.  If you have a flickr account, add me as a contact, and I'll do the same.  =0)

I used the "fireworks" setting the entire time, but these photos from our at-home fireworks turned out much better.  Don't you think?

Manual settings work better than a mode ones . These modes are babies of DSLR , digi cameras are better with manuals .
But these fireworks are splendid .

I've always wanted to get some great fireworks shots, too. This year I was a little far away to really give it a good effort, but I think I'll probably need to get a tripod in order to get a good picture.

Maybe the pictures didn't turn out the way you intended them to, but I think they look good! Next week we'll have some fireworks here, hope to shoot some pics with my new camera.

Trying to get pictures of fireworks stresses me out! It's so hard to capture! But I just enjoy watching them without my camera around. Less stress for me! Looks like you shot off a lot of fireworks! So jealous!

I really want to take my girls to see fireworks next year. This year they were in bed by 730! I think it being on a Friday next year will help me a lot too... I like the idea of not having to wake up for work the next day... oh wait..I have kids hahah Maybe, just maybe they will sleep in!!!

You got some great shots. I haven't seen fireworks in almost 3 years since because of the CO fires they've been stopped. Looking forward to them next year even if I have to travel back to my home state NY to see them. :)

I think the photos are awesome! I was so bummed we didn't get to see any this year and have serious "bad mother" guilt going on this week. The ones you set off look amazing, especially en fuego!

Wonderful photographs! It's been years to see live fireworks in fields. I'm sure that all this stuff would have made your kids' day! :)

Cool photos although I do think its funny that cameras have firework settings considering New Years and the 4th are the only time most people see them!
