My #WeekBackup

Is it Saturday again already?  Where did the week go?  Well, here's my #WeekBackup.  =0)

Brown Rice is my food of the week.  Lately, we've been eating it with everything so it's only appropriate that I showcase it here.

I went back through some old photo archives, and I found this little treasure from last year.  So pretty.  I miss this color in the front yard for this year.

I was co-host for the Grab a Friend hop on Monday, but I wasn't able to post the hop here on my blog (thanks a lot, spam folder!).  But I smiled (after I frowned) and said, "Next time."

My oldest daughter missed out on a super-delish sandwich the other day.  She had already eaten with her friends (but it wasn't nearly as good as my sandwiches for the boys).  I told her, "Next time!"

We went to the park to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July, but we didn't bring a blanket or anything to sit on.  Guess what I said.  "Next time."

Love this song, and I like the video too!

The trouble of the week for me was trying to take photos of fireworks!  Even though I've had my camera since January, I'm not too familiar with all the functions.  I mainly use it to take photos of the items for our Etsy shop.  I tried using the "fireworks" setting, but most of the photos just didn't turn out right.  I need to practice more with manually adjusting, because I think the pictures would come out a billion times better.  I also wanted to take continuous shots of the fireworks, but that didn't work out in my favor either.  But, as my saying of the week goes, "Next time."  =0)

And that's my week in review for #WeekBackup.
I'm looking forward to #AskMeSatz with Aree with Umbrella, coming soon.

Update: I thought #AskMeSatz was starting next week, but here it is for this week!
Aree With Umbrella

Doesn't the pretty button go so well with my firework photo?
Here's the #AskMeSatz Question this week:
Question: What does mirror say to you when you're standing in front of it?

My answer: You look so tired!

And if you're looking for some blog hop fun, join us at Meet & Greet (open all day).

How about you?  Share something fun with me from YOUR week, or let me know what you're looking forward to for next week.  =0)

Fireworks are always tricky to get, but I love your sparkler shot :)
I hardly ever paint my nails, but this week I painted them red white and blue for the 4th :)

Fun post! I haven't mastered brown rice yet, mine is always rather undercooked, or gummy. I will work on it. Yours looks great. I also have to learn to take photos of the fireworks, at least your photo came out clear and you can tell what it is. Very cool effect.

That fireworks photo is awesome! This week was a bit of drag because it rained a lot and I had so much work to do. I managed to get caught up so I'm hoping to have a better week. I did spend some time at the pool yesterday.

I love that photo of the flower! I wonder what kind it is?

Oh, I tried to take pictures of the girls and hubby with the sparklers. Unfortunately, it was still too bright for them to really be seen. BTW, I LOVE the color of the flower, it's so beautiful!!

Love the week of photos. My food of the week would be broccoli. I swear I go through 5 bags a week all by myself!

I can't take good pictures of fireworks either. My camera even has a setting for it. I'm sure I'm going something very wrong.

I can never take pictures of things at night. They never come out! Fireworks seem impossible without a super expensive camera. I am a huge brown rice fan and recently used it to substitute quinoa in a salad which was perfect!

I see nothing wrong with your fireworks shot. Looks good to me.
