At difficult times in our lives, it might be really hard to find something to be grateful for, especially when we're angry at ourselves and angry at the world. But we can find so much in the little things of every day life that we can always be thankful for - we just have to let ourselves.
If you're having a bad day, take a few minutes to sit and clear your mind. Think about the small things you may have overlooked that actually weren't so bad at all. Or think about something in the recent past that made you smile.
Even on the worst of days, there is something that you can think of to turn your bad day into a better one. And if just those few minutes turn out to be the best thing that happened to you on that day, then it's a little piece of happiness that you hadn't had before. That makes it worth it.
