Herbal Spa Goodness {Beazer's Garden Product Review & GIVEAWAY}

The first thing that you read when you visit the Beazer's Garden "About" Page is this:

"FEELING GOOD SHOULDN'T BE BAD FOR YOU."

Kimberly (owner & creator) began making natural products in 2001. She comes from a Caribbean family with a tradition of herbal home remedies. She made simple yet effective cleaners to use in her home and classroom (as a preschool teacher). Pretty soon, the other teachers wanted to lessen the amount of chemicals they used in their classrooms as well.  And so it began...

First up, I'm sharing my BUY IT & TRY IT Product Review...

I bought a travel-sized Whipped Body Butter to try. It's a great price at just $5 and makes a perfect sample size. This is my review of the product (which I left as a Five Star review on Etsy as well):
This body butter is SO thick & creamy. It moisturizes the skin right away and leaves the silky, smooth feel for quite a long time. I have really dry skin, and it just ate this up and loved it. It's so thick that it takes awhile to rub into the skin, but it is GOOD stuff! At first, I ordered as unscented, afraid that any scented option might be too strong. After messages back and forth, I decided to try the lavender scent and was assured by the owner it wouldn't be drastic. The scent was just right...Not overpowering at all. =0) Also, the little container it came in is great to re-use (an added plus).

Along with my purchase was a small trial-sized container of the brown sugar body scrub - another item that I was interested in trying out. The picture I took (top photo above) was taken after I had tried it out on my hand, so it came out pretty dark because of the water. The photo shown below is what the scrub looks like when you receive the product (it's also a clickable link).

This body scrub seriously works just as well as super expensive name brand scrubs. But this good stuff is natural! You can't do any better than that. I opened up the container, and right away the smell was mesmerizing. You can smell the sugar and the herbs together...It smelled like a really yummy tea. Yeah, it smells so good you will seriously want to taste it (but that is not advised).

I used it on my hand, gently rubbing it into my skin with some water. I waited a minute before rinsing it off, then dried my hand with a towel. You can feel the difference after one use. Skin has a softer, smoother feel to it because the exfoliating body scrub has done its job. Finish it off with some of the super creamy body butter, and you're good to go! I will definitely be purchasing a full size jar of this scrub when I have some extra spending money! Yes, I'm adding it to my Christmas wish list too. =0)

Now on to the Question & Answer portion...

WHAT WAS THE FIRST PRODUCT KIMBERLY MADE? Read her answer below!
The first product I made was out of necessity when my goddaughter got a scalp condition from a playmate at school. The whole family had to douse our heads for a few weeks with the traditional store bought treatment. I friend and I had gotten into holistic healing around that time, so I decided to try a natural remedy I found that consisted of only a few essential oils which did the trick in a few days. Plus made our hair shiny and healthier and or home smelled good!

HOW DID KIMBERLY COME UP WITH HER SHOP NAME? She said:
I wanted my business name to link my family to what I do for a living, aside from making natural products I’m an environmental educator. Though I love being a single gal in NYC, I’m a country mouse at heart and have always found parks and gardens to be places of refuge so I wanted to bring that feeling into it as well.
