5 Things I'm Loving Lately

It's Friday, guys. I don't know about you, but it's been a really long week for me. Not that I had a ton to do this week, but it just seemed like a tiring week (even though I didn't get any house cleaning done whatsoever). Thought I'd share some things I've been loving lately. Because when you have a long week, it's great to unwind, and thinking about the happy moments is a great way to do that.

1. Really pretty sunsets. Enough said.
2. Instagram. I've said it so many times, twitter is my fave social media platform. But Instagram has been swooping in lately, and I've been finding myself looking for IG moments to post and share. (Aaahh...The life of a blogger!) I just posted our 200th IG post too. But I've still got mad love for twitter, though. =0)
3. Watching Netflix with the family (even if it has to be Disney shows we've seen before). With our cable gone for months now, we've found a love for netflix when we're really wanting a day to veg out and watch a movie together. And then the kids found some of their Disney shows there. So they were all excited about that, because there was some serious Disney Channel withdrawal in our house when I first cut the cable!
4. The beach. We visited three different beaches while in Southern California, but none of the stays were near long enough. I love the beach! I wanna go back already!
5. Getting back into workout mode. Touring the University of California, San Diego and walking along the beach on our SoCal trip (blog post on said trip coming real soon!)...I realized just how out of shape I am - again! Right when we got back (actually, while we were on the road and my legs were aching), I made it a point to find a new 30-Day workout challenge! For some reason, I like doing those and can usually stick with it. I think maybe because it doesn't sound so short-term, but it doesn't sound so long-term either. I don't know, really. But whatever works, right?
I also found a 30-Minute Workout to add to the challenge too. Trying to stay motivated, because I don't want to get off track again. It's too easy to get off track, and so hard to get back on track!

What are some things that YOU'VE been loving lately?

Im glad you enjoy twitter! I myself rarely post there. I can not seem to grasp it at all and I am still trying to get the hang of google+ I have yet to figure out how I can just see recent posts instead of posts from 3 days prior. Its all confusing. We ended up canceling netflix, just seemed we could not find anything worth watching but of course we did end up getting dish. I love the block buster at home (I think that is what is called). The beaches look wonderful. My significant other is from California so maybe we will visit someday. Enjoy your weekend to come!

I canceled cable for about a year once, and Netflix was the only thing that got me through! I only got cable back when Husband moved in with me full time (back when he was just Boyfriend!) Lately I'm loving anything with an anchor on it... guess I'm gearing up for the summertime!

I'm with you on all of these things! Summer is such an inspiring time to get back into workout mode, and I never get tired of the beaches in Milwaukee.

Sunsets always top my list! Instagram too. :) I'm also loving cocktails outside with friends, warm weather clothes, and playing with my baby girl.

So much happy stuff! The sunsets are beautiful. There is nothing like mother mature to relax us (when she is tame, of course). I started an Instagram account but have an ongoing love affair with Pinterest! It is funny how everyone has a different favorite social media site. :) Keep up the good work with the workouts!

I love going to the beach too! I'm long overdue and need to go to one ASAP!

I've been loving all the outings to events I've been going to lately. It has been so much fun!

I think you pretty much hit some of my top of the list things - sunsets, beach, rainy afternoons to read, cool days with a cup of awesome coffee and time with my favorite people - Cathy

I am loving today so far :) We grabbed the baby and went to a park, where he walked on grass with his daddy and I just sat on the grass :)

Did you get a chance to visit Venice Beach by any chance? For its total diversity it is definitely one of my favorite beaches. But now I'm on the East Coast and I'm just loving the Delaware beach near my house, especially in the off season! It's by far the best cure for a bad day.

Netflix is a must! Though net neutrality may ruin that soon. I've been loving jewels and glitter and a new doughnut place we tried.

We have the same list...you nailed it. Sunsets...always. Which leads me to instagram, because, why wouldn't you? Netflix is great for catching up on series you missed the first time around. The beach? No question.

Oh...ice cream. Nuff said. :-)

I'm loving a lot of the same things - except Instagram. If they let people post photos through a computer, I'm sure I'd change my mind. ;D

The beach looks so lovely! I wish I could add that to my list of favorite things. Netflix's and Instagram are big favorites in my world.

Hi Kim! We're loving similar things nowadays. The sunsets here in south Florida are spectacular. I love watching good movies with family and friends, and I'm getting back into fitness mode. I hope you've had a good start to your week. Happy Monday!
