I love this next quote from her too, because it's so true!
Growing up as a shy and quiet girl, I wasn't very daring. I spent the first part of my school years with very few friends and trying to just blend in with the crowd so as not to draw any attention to myself. Then, out of no where, I found a voice and realized that I wanted to be heard. This was in middle school. I didn't want to blend in anymore. I wasn't scared to be different. I crawled out of my shell and became more outgoing with volunteer work, among other things. It opened a whole new set of doors for me.
Sometimes we may think that we don't matter, but we do.
Sometimes we may think that we can't help, but we can.
Sometimes it's the smallest of things that make the biggest difference.
We need to realize that WE can be the RAINBOW in someone's cloud.
And so I leave you with some more words and hope you remember to be daring!
“Dare to Be
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to be!”
