iPhone Rescue

If you follow on Instagram, then some of these photos might be a quick refresher. I just wanted to give a little sneak peek preview of what's to come on the blog later this week. I didn't have time to put together the entire post for today, so here's a little snippet for you first.

I had packed my camera, but wouldn't you know it, I kept forgetting it every time I needed to snap a photo. iPhone to the rescue...

These are a couple of palm trees seen from my mom's back yard.

Beautiful sunset at the beach.

This is the Geisel Library at University of California, San Diego.

I kept kicking myself because I hadn't remembered my camera, even though it had been packed with a fully charged battery (left it in the room almost the entire time - oops!). But luckily, pictures from smartphones turn out pretty well. =0) I didn't get to snap as many shots as I would've liked, but we were still able to capture some great memories.

Stay tuned for the full post on our quick road trip later this week!

What did you do over the weekend?

I do the same thing. If I have my camera and my phone while I'm wandering around somewhere, I default to my phone. Whoops! At least the pictures still turn out pretty well.

I love the architecture of the library! Love to know what it looks like on the inside.

We do the same thing since we have iphone! The poor camera now has to miss quite a few trips! I was just busy working on my shop last weekend, I have re-opened:)

I'm bad about just using my cell phone for pics anymore too! Luckily they take pretty good pics :)
Love your sunset at the beach!

I use cell phone pics all the time and if I want to make it a better quality I use Snapseed app (I have a Samsung 4).

My weekend was great, attended another event with my girls.

Our camera died a few years ago and we've just been using our iPhones since. Not perfect, but at least we never forget them!

I've gotten so good with my iPhone camera that sometimes the photo taken with it beats out any taken with my pricey camera! Love a beachy sunset!!

That sunset is gorgeous! I have a gigantic DSLR but 99% of the time use my iPhone instead. It takes great pics and isn't such a pain to carry around!

I'd cry if I forgot my camera! In just the right light phone cameras do okay, but nothing seems to touch a regular point and shoot.

I find I now use my iphone and my big camera about equally--especially while traveling! my dSLR is so big and not always easy to just pull out, and I find I can get pretty darn good pictures with the iPhone! Looks like you had a lovely weekend!

I use my DSLR for most of my planned blog posts, but when I'm sharing stuff on the blog that I did (a trip, etc.), it tends to be iphone pictures these days. These shots are beautiful!

Lucky you remembered that your phone had a camera! In a similar situation I did not remember that until "too late"!

I'm always using my phone to take pictures. It's a lot lighter than my DSLR camera.

I think I'm the only one of my friends that still uses a camera instead of a phone to take pictures. ;D

Great photos Kim! I use my phone for photos all the time, but I still think my camera has the best quality.

My dad always told me that a pencil was better than the worst memory, so a phone camera must be better than the worst pencil! :)
