Give Handmade: Wooden Gifts Edition

One of my favorite things to do is promote small business and handmade artisans. It's just something I do. This year I'm sharing a new series called Give Handmade, and each week I'll share a new edition with you.

It's been a long while since I've shared my favorite handmade Etsy finds here on the blog. I didn't really realize that until recently. And while I'm not ready to start with the whole holiday hype thing...I want to share these gift ideas with you.

This week I thought I'd share some excellent gift ideas when it comes to handmade wood pieces. Take a look and see what you think!
All images are also clickable, for your convenience.

I hope you liked this first installment of my gift guide series for 2014: Give Handmade. I'll be posting a new edition each week for the series, so I hope you'll come back to see what else I find.

My 7th grader has wood shop class, and he just completed his first project (you might have seen it on Instagram). He was very proud of the finished piece, a beautiful pen holder. He wasn't so happy when Baby Girl played her role of "little sister" and used the pen from said pen holder to mark on the beautiful just-polished wood. Yeah...there were some tears cried, because she felt so bad and could tell he was upset. =0( But it's still a gorgeous piece of woodwork, and I will proudly use it on my desk.

What do you think of wooden gifts??? Have you ever given or received something made of wood?

These are beautiful. My husband is obsessed with all wood and metal worked items, so I'll have to show him some of these!
