Make Your Cell Phone Your Own {Product Review: Cell Picture Switchers}

We all love to personalize things, right? Well, why not personalize your cell phone case monthly, weekly, or even daily? Make it truly an accessory that you can match to your outfit or mood, with just a quick switch of your picture switcher from Cell Picture Switchers

We were given a complimentary set of Picture Switchers and a Soft Gel Clear Case to facilitate this product review. All opinions are 100% my own, and my daughter's too.

What are Cell Picture Switchers? Watch this minute and a half video and find out!

These interchangeable inserts (picture switchers) fit right into the back of the cell phone case options offered in the shop (there are three available case options, but the most popular is the clear soft gel case). Since these inserts are also covered with the case itself, the designs will never scratch, wear off or fade. Inserts are interchangeable and give you the ability to change your phone's look whenever you want - easy peasy.

Pretty cool, right? Why would you want the plain old iPhone (pictured below, left), when you can make it your own (examples on right)? Why buy a super expensive case that might be your favorite color, but doesn't match every outfit you own? You can have multiple picture switchers and change up the look in less than a minute! That's what my daughter thought. Take a peek!

The first step is to order your soft gel clear case. We, of course, chose the iPhone 5c case. There are many options available, including cases for iPhone 4 and 5, as well as iPods. There are also clear, frosted or bird's nest cases. The case comes with one complimentary picture switcher of your choice from a selection of six different designs. Then, you add on more picture switchers, so that you have a variety.

There are so many picture switcher options! You will seriously have fun just browsing the shop. My daughter decided on design-only switchers, but also available are: monograms, photo design, quotes and more.

In the photo below, she's choosing her next switcher! She's already making plans to place an order for some personal photo switchers. I'm pretty sure she's also brainstorming which quotes she might want to use for personalizing a couple of switchers too. She has changed her case [sometimes] daily, just to match her outfit. Her friends thought it was pretty awesome too.

The best part is...These picture switchers are completely affordable! The cases start at just $12.99. As mentioned before, one picture switcher is included for free. Single picture switchers start at only $1.50, so you can literally collect these and add to your personal picture switcher assortment.

left to right: monogram, chevron blues (design only), unavailable, glitter glam (on phone)

Personalized cases are fun enough, but Cell Picture Switchers are even MORE fun! My daughter is planning her purchase, and I'm wanting to try out the bird's nest case, myself, pairing it with the glitter glam switcher.

Which case and picture switcher would you choose?

Baby Fever {Keekaroo GIVEAWAY}

I recently found out that I'll soon be an auntie again. It's pretty exciting, since the baby and youngest of the entire extended family turned a year old back in October of last year. Now there's a new baby on the way, so the family is already getting Baby Fever and starting to think of what the new mommy will need (since her two other children are soon-to-be 4 and 5 years old, and beyond the baby/toddler years).

Here's a quick Baby Wish List that I threw together. Included are some things that I'm thinking the new mama will need or want!

Oh wait...Didn't I tell you??? Item #1 on this list is up for grabs in an awesome giveaway that I'm co-hosting with my bloggy friend Melanie!

The Keekaroo High Chair grows with baby and is durable & sturdy enough to hold an adult's weight (yes, up to 250 pounds! Incredible!). Plus, it's stylish - a chair you'll want to keep long after the high chair days are over. Not to mention, it comes with a five year warranty. I'm loving the fact that it also struts an ergonomic design, it's tip-resistant, and environmentally friendly. What more could you ask for?

Read the complete product review from Mommy Mentionables and see why it's on the wish list for my niece or nephew that's on the way!

I only wish I had this beauty of a high chair for my baby girl! Retail Value is $230, but you can win it! Giveaway is open to US residents, age 18+ and ends 3/21/14. Good luck!

Words for my Wednesday

A simple thought for today.

With all the dryness of our California drought, the yard is pretty much dead. Dead with weeds. But even among the ugliness of weeds, there is beauty to be found.

Do you have a quote, saying or some words to share? Please do with a comment. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Making the Sidewalk Our Canvas

It's almost like winter never came this year. It was last month - January 22, 2014 - and we were outside in the afternoon playing with sidewalk chalk. No kidding! No long sleeves, no heavy sweaters, coats, or even a light jacket. Nope. That's how sunny it's been out here in California, pretty much all winter long.

This week (Wed. - Fri.) we're hopeful on getting some much needed rain here. You can read about my earlier post on California's drought woes and some water conservation tips here. If it does indeed rain tomorrow, it will only be the second time for significant rainfall all winter in my area...And spring is almost here. Yesterday we had a high temperature of about 75 degrees. But Wednesday we'll see 100% chance of rain, so with rainy days on the way (hopefully), I thought I'd post some photos from last month when my toddler daughter and I were making the sidewalk our canvas.

Gorgeous Veggie Sidewalk Chalk Colors

Tracing her fingers (at least, trying to).

We eventually had to tie her hair up more, because it was getting in the way.

"Painting" Her Canvas

You can tell which colors she liked best!

This fantastic set of Veggie Sidewalk Chalk was gifted to us by a friend. The sidewalk chalk is made with REAL fruit and veggies, so it's non-toxic and all natural. It is plant-based and made with organic food ingredients. It's the safest sidewalk chalk for babies, toddlers and kids (and adults too)!

We loved playing with the chalk so much, we wanted to share it with you here and encourage you to visit Wee Can Too yourself to see what other natural, non-toxic & eco-friendly products they offer. I know that we're definitely going to be ordering some more of the Veggie Sidewalk Chalk come spring time.

kensie love {kensie Product Review & GIVEAWAY}

This blog post has been a long time coming, and we're really excited to share with you. My daughter was incredibly happy to be able to choose a piece from kensie's fall/winter 2013 lookbook to receive for the purposes of conducting a product review, while adding a super cute new piece to her wardrobe. She had a really hard time choosing which piece she wanted! She finally decided on a simple edgy black dress (pages 34-35 of the lookbook), figuring she could wear it for some holiday parties.

She wore the dress to school after the Thanksgiving holiday break, and - let me tell you - the compliments were flying her way! Everyone, I mean, everyone loves this dress. Every time she wears it, she gets compliments. She wore it on her birthday, Christmas Eve, and everyone loved it then too.

What is kensie?
kensie is a Canadian based business, with the home office in Vancouver, offering stylish and quality clothing and accessories at affordable price points. Lani and Eric Karls founded the company in 1994, with Lani Karls as Creative Director and working with a team of dedicated talented designers. kensie's brand is recognized worldwide and their pieces are featured by magazines such as InStyle, People Style Watch, Glamour and Marie Claire. kensie brand products are only available at fine retail boutiques and major department stores in the United States and Canada. To name a few: Nordstrom, macy*s, bloomingdale's and ModCloth.

I'm Loving This

So what have I been loving lately?

Well, here are a few blog posts that made me smile or inspired me this week as I got back to visiting some of my favorite blogs I've missed while I've been disconnected:

(love those heart-shaped pancakes she found)

Jayne's Daily Update
(while she's on a blogging break: an automatically updated feed from her facebook and twitter)

Oh, and I found out on Tuesday of this week that my blog was nominated at the first annual Best of Blog Awards at My So-Called Chaos! I'm so honored!!! Voting is now over, but I was in the categories of Best Bloggy Buddy and Courageous Commenter. I'm still quite shocked that my little blog was on any of the lists. My blog didn't make it to the final voting (top 3 of each category), but I'm still so honored to have been nominated. Check it out if you have time. You might find some great new blogs to read, or notice some familiar ones there too.

So what are you loving this week?

Dress Hunting Online: Prom is Coming {JenJenHouse Website Review}

The Junior Prom is coming up sooner rather than later (it's next month!), and we've still only been surfing the Internet for dress ideas. It may be too late to order a dress online...I'm not sure yet. But we're still looking online for some inspiration at the very least.

You might remember me talking about DressFirst a bit ago here on the blog. You can see that full post here. Today I have another fabulous dress website to share with you. JenJenHouse.com is much like that website and offers many of the same great qualities. You can browse by occasion, price and dress type. They offer a Live Chat and ship worldwide.

Here are some of our finds and ideas for my daughter's upcoming Junior Prom:

There's a "Dresses Under $100" sale section, where all the dresses are under $100 and offered at unbeatable prices. JenJenHouse offers quality special occasion dresses at affordable prices. Because they're online, you can shop any time, any where. Bridal gowns, evening dresses, homecoming and prom dresses...If it's a special event, JenJenHouse has a dress for it!

And for the wedding party, there is a complete line of reception party supplies and favors too. From cake toppers to the toasting flutes, invitations and the guest book - this website has it covered. It's perfect for the wedding planner looking for a one-stop shop. It has it all!

Since we're looking for prom dresses, I didn't really need to browse all the website sections, but I thought it was great that there was a complete section for wedding party supplies and favors, which could also come in handy for someone planning a Quinceanera or Sweet Sixteen party too. I couldn't help but check it out a little.

So you've seen a few dresses that we chose as favorites above. I'm pretty sure my daughter wants a deep burgundy dress as far as color goes. Not sure if we'll be finding the color she wants, but the styles we found on JenJenHouse were pretty cute. And how about shoes???

These two beauties stood out:

Of course, the type and color of show will be heavily determined by what dress my daughter chooses. We're getting down to just weeks left...

If you you're on the hunt for the perfect dress, visit JenJenHouse today and have a peek around the site.

Which one of the three shown above do you like best? And what do you think of the shoes?

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. JenJenHouse.com is compensating me for browsing their website and giving my opinion on dress selection, ease of website use and my "window" shopping experience. All opinions are 100% my own. This disclosure is in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) 10 CFR, Part 255, Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
Thank you for letting me share paid sponsored posts with you, my readers! I only share items and companies that might be or already are of interest to my family, my readers and me.
