Obsessed with Skies

Lately, I've been slightly obsessed with the sky. Maybe it's because it's been changing so drastically over the past couple of weeks. I don't know. But whatever it is, I just can't stop taking photos of it.

The photo below was taken right in between two storms, just a day apart. The sun was shining so brightly, and the sky was such a pretty shade of blue. There were white clouds all around, so light and fluffy. It seemed like a nice moment to capture.

I've been messing around a little bit with some photo editing apps late at night when I can't fall asleep. I have a ton of photo apps. In fact, I have so many that there's no room on my iPhone for the newer iOS upgrade. My daughter makes fun of me, because when I first got my phone just barely over a year ago, I had no idea how to use it. I had no idea about what apps to download either. Now my phone is full of them. Even though I might not know how to use them all, I can't part with any of them, because "I might need them!" I did end up deleting a whole bunch of blogging apps (and I do miss them dearly). But I can't - no, I won't - give up my photo apps. There's just so many awesome things you can do with them all! I don't even know the half of it yet. There's still so much to learn and play with!

Anyway, the point to all my rambling is that I discovered VSCOcam, and I love it. I had actually downloaded it months ago, months. But I didn't take the time to go in and play around with it. I just started doing that in December, and it's been a whole lot of fun!

I edited the above photo with VSCOcam, but the one below is unedited. I snapped this shot the day after the photo above. What a difference a day made! The clouds were big, dark, and they looked heavy. They brought more rain, and it came down pretty hard for almost an hour! But in between the rainfall, there were some times of just really dark clouds overhead. Even through those clouds, the sun tried to peek through!

My latest obsession has been the sky, clouds and the weather. How about you?
What's your latest obsession?

I love seeing the same photo of the sky on 2 different days. Mother Nature is amazing in her changes. Enjoy those apps!

I totally understand your obsession. I think the sky is the most beautiful canopy of art. I love going away to the Caribbean or places that are natural and less polluted and looking up at all the stars. I also love looking out at a beautiful sunset, especially on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. I have even seen the sun set over the desert in Dubai which as you can imagine was amazing!

Once when I was on my way to Puerto Rico I was flying over the fluffiest sky ever just as the sun was beginning to set but it was still quite blue in some was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

HI K. :)

LOVE your photos :)

I only got a smart phone a few months ago, (I was very, very reluctant to change from my precious, no camera flip phone) but I haven't added any photo apps yet, go figure even though I take photos with it all the time now, I still download them to my computer to work on them, I guess so I have them all in one place :)

Have a wonderful Weekend, cheers, T. :)

Obsessions? Let me think. Losing weight which I've been very successful doing. I lose 3 pounds gain 2, lose 2 gain 3, etc.

Trying to cram everything I want to do into one day. Isn't working very well. It's not my fault. The days are just too short.

Making sure we have good daily meals. Yesterday was my turn to cook. Opened a can of soup. Today hubby asked what we were having for dinner. Told him it was his turn to cook. I opened a can of soup yesterday...

And so it goes. My obsessions are too numerous to mention and it's probably just as well. lol
