Dr. Seuss Favorites

Today is Dr. Seuss' Birthday. I thought I would share some of my family's favorite Dr. Seuss quotes and book titles.

Growing up, my first Dr. Seuss book was Cat in the Hat. It is still an all-time favorite, of course. How can you help not loving that silly cat?

We also like Horton Hears a Who. We like elephants.

Pretty much all of the Dr. Seuss books are on our very long list of favorite books to read. They are all fun with their catchy rhymes. They're the perfect books for beginning readers too. It's important to make reading fun - and Dr. Seuss books do just that.

What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?

Such a clever man. Such a funny man. Such a wise man.
And no, I can't pick a favourite either.

Green Eggs and Ham. That's my fave. It's such a good lesson for both young and old! Also: it was the first book my Oliver could read all by himself. Yay!

I love the quotes you shared! I teach high school English, but sometimes at the beginning of the year, I read "Oh, the Places You'll Go" to my students. It always makes them smile. :)

I personally love Oh the Places You'll Go... but my boys are currently obsessing over The Lorax. We have multiple readings a day!

This is so cute! I remember always choosing One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish growing up. Then just last week I bought my Dad "You're Only Old Once" for his Bday. I didn't even realize it was Dr. Suess' Birthday coming up!

We actually didn't have any Dr Seuss book when I was little. It could be because overseas books were really expensive and not widely available back there in Asia.

Love these quotes. I never realized how inspiring Dr. Seuss books were until I became an adult. So many amazing phrases for us to live by!
