My Daily Fresh Face Routine {Product Review: Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum for Face}

I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis, especially when it's summer time. It's always hot, and makeup tends to just melt away. Yuck!

However, I do have a daily facial care routine. Always.

I try to wash my face both in the morning and before bed. But I've gotta admit, sometimes I'm too lazy at night. It happens. I'm sure it happens to you too. Come on - don't deny it!

Here's my daily facial ritual, with a new addition of Vitamin C.

I start by washing my face with warm water and my favorite cleanser. I switch between what facial cleansers I use. I like to try different ones, but I usually always go back to a good cream cleanser. For some reason, it feels like cream cleansers really get the job done right. Although, I do also use an exfoliating cleanser once a week.

Next, I use my favorite alcohol-free facial toner. I really like using a toner, because it has always given my face an extra-added sense of refreshing cleanliness . It also gives a second layer of cleansing, picking up any dirt or oil that may have been missed with the cream cleanser. I apply my toner with a cotton ball, and the alcohol-free formula doesn't dry out my skin at all - which is very important since I have really dry skin.

Although I hate to admit it, I'm not getting any younger! So the Vitamin C Serum for Face by Amara Organics was something I was really excited to try this summer. I started using it at the beginning of June, after hearing some great things about the serum. Applying the serum is my Step 3 of the fresh face routine!

Vitamin C has been thought to be effective in reversing the effects of environmental damage to the skin. It's supposed to be the anti-aging super power when it comes skin, and it will protect skin from further UV damage. It improves skin texture and fights against fine lines and wrinkles (oh, yeah - that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!). Amara Organics combines the Vitamin C with Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid for extra anti-aging effects, "using only the best, natural plant-based ingredients available...no parabens, no alcohol, and no animal testing!" It's also made in the USA. ;)

Here's a quick YouTube video to learn a little bit more:

The first time using this serum, I used the dropper and dropped WAY TOO much serum on my fingertips! A little bit goes a really long way with this stuff. A couple of drops and you're really good to go. I apply it with my fingertips below my eyes, then rub all over my cheeks and the rest of my face and neck. My skin soaks it up and I could feel the difference even before the serum dried the first time I used ti. It leaves my face feeling oh-so-smooth, and it happens right away! It helps with dark under-eye circles too (and can be a life-saver from that zombie-eye look!)

The last step of my fresh face routine is moisturizer. Having had eczema on my face for a few years now, moisturizing is a MUST. I try to avoid flare-ups at all costs! If my current moisturizer does not include sunscreen, then sunscreen is also applied.

And that's it! It's super simple - a daily routine that always leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. And I love the Vitamin C Serum! It adds a smoothness unmatched by any other product I've tested so far! At just about $20 a bottle (that I still have some left in), it's completely worth the price. Visit Amara Organics to try it out for yourself!

I've never used a serum. I wonder if it will help me and my aging! My system for night facial cleansing involves washing and moisturizing my face a couple of hours before bedtime so it gets done. :)

I'm not much of a makeup wearer either and I'm horrible about keeping a face cleaning routine!

I usually think of vitamin c as something you digest, but this looks beneficial as well!

I've tried Vitamin C serums. I think they definitely help, my skin looks brighter in general with it.

I've never used a serum before. I basically wash my face and moisturize it before bedtime. But this is something I shall look into. Thanks, Cathy

Nice routine! I'm acne prone, so salicylic acid is always part of mine. I just started using Neutrogena Night cream, so hopefully that will slow the wrinkles.

I am equally as vigilant with skin care. I might have to give this one a shot. I've not used anything with V-C in it, so that intrigues me.
