When Leaves Grow Old {Words for my Wednesday}

Beating a record high heat for yesterday of 94 degrees from back in the early 1990s, with the day's hottest being 97 degrees, it doesn't feel so much like fall season at all. That heat trend is going to continue for the rest of the week. I'm very thankful for air conditioning! But it would be nice to experience some real fall weather and turn off that A/C.

Despite the heat, the leaves are ever so slowly starting to change colors. Here are the Words for my Wednesday...

Aging gracefully is one thing that leaves do very well. When leaves grow old, they are full of new colors and the change in appearance is enjoyed by so many. And even though it's still super hot outside, as L.M. Montgomery put it,

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."

What do you like about the month of October?
Let me know in a blog comment!

October here is Spring. Usually.
This year October is summer and it is heating up fast.
I do love autumn - and the fireworks display that the trees put on.
And love your words too. Very, very true.

Beautiful quote! I don't like the colder seasons, but I do like drinking hot cocao, or curling up on the couch with a book and a cup of tea.

I'm loving all the beautiful fall trees. But I'm enjoying these warmer temps as well. I know they won't be around much longer, so I'll take them while I can :)
