So I just have a few photos to share for this year, because the entire festival was revamped and way different than previous years. The layout of the event was different, but it made seem like we were going for the first time. And that was good for annual attendees like us.
We always enjoy seeing the scarecrow competition, because each year there is a different theme. This year, the entries were limited. Either that, or the festival only chose to showcase the honorable mentions and ribbons that placed. I was a little disappointed, because I always love to see what the different groups come up with. However, this year's theme was a little tricky (because of all the "clown scare" activity going on).
But a great new addition for this year was the entertainment. There were acrobats and carnival fun, even a guy on a unicycle! If you hadn't guessed, this year's theme was carnival related - The Greatest Pumpkin Show on Earth.
Kids and adults alike had so much fun with the giant bubbles!
These lovely ladies were doing tricks all day long on the high up hoop!
Local farms got to show off their goods. =0)
And my kids always love seeing the old rusty tractors too.
Overall, it was a really great pumpkin festival. We enjoyed, as we do every year. We really did like how the festival was changed up a little. It definitely made it interesting. We would like to see more arts & crafts booths, though. And hopefully next year it doesn't rain!
